I'm finishing preview functionality for mp3 files videos and other files and will package and release it for Joomla 3.0, Joomla 2.5 version will need some days to adapt it.

YES!! That's wonderful. I'm ready to put it into a Joomla 3 site I'm building now ;O) Will it just show up on the downloads page when you're ready? Or will you have a release just for us anxious ones who are waiting??

Slowly but surely getting there.

There will be pre-made functions for image previews, sounds and videos and may be an iframe preview for pdf documents.

The rest of the file types will open a new window to download the preview file.

Anyone want to give a tip or suggestion? You guys are welcome. Thank you for patience and cooperation.
