No worries, follow these steps:
1. Go to settings, payment methods, paypal, fill in This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
2. Go to your site frontpage, make the test order.

If the order is ok, then you have no technical difficulties receiving payments.

If it isn't probably there is connection problem between you and paypal, which we can fix really easy.

Let me know how that goes! That's all the steps you need to do.

Sorry for the long delay on this.

I did as you suggested and the process seemed to work correctly using the email address you supplied. My sandbox "buyer" received email confirmation and I was directed back to the website to a confirmed purchase page. I did not receive a back-end "verified order" email.

Changing the email back to my PayPal account email, I receive the verified order message, but the sandbox buyer does not get a confirmation and when returned to site, the order remains unconfirmed indefinitely.

If it worked with sandbox and not with live account, then the IPN is not delivered, are you sure that the instant payment notifications in paypal are enabled for the live account? That's under profile > my selling tools > instant payment notifications
