TOPIC: How to change default button choice? Etc.

We have hundreds of product files. Each has its own Joomla article to which we want to add QuickSell links. Since the articles comprise a catalog, we want all to be formatted similarly.

Except for title and price, we want all the buttons to be formatted similarly, and we want all the products to require the same license acceptance form.

The default button choice (a single buy now button) is not what we want. And the default form setting seems to be 'none'.

Is there any way to set a default value for the choice of button graphics (and for the form) rather than having to specify it over and over every time we build a link?

It would surely simplify training and reduce errors if we could set up store-wide defaults.

I think something like this can be achieved with K2 or similar. Have you tried it? Also if you want to change the default button, may be we can change the default code in the javascript file called makeButton.js.

Thanks for the pointer to the javascript. Yes, I can hack that, but that creates a maintenance issue whenever QuickSell gets updated. That's why a store-wide parameter in the QuickSell config would be great. This parameter would specify the default form and default button (which individual docs could still override). Thus it would survive upgrades to the makeButton.js file.

Although we don't need it, as long as you're doing this you might as well include a default price. Somebody somewhere might benefit from it.

I suppose the ideal way to do such things would be to have a field in the global config that defines a default price
PLUS
a field in the files table that holds a default price for that file, which overrides the global default product price
PLUS
the existing price field in the button-creation process,. which overrides the particular file's default price (like in a special promotion article).

DITTO for other parameters, most especially the FORM (e.g., license acceptance) and the BUTTON DESIGN CHOICE.

I'm adding the default price and button option in the configuration. Also there are some compatibility fixes for ie9 and 10 of the terms and conditions box. Update is due to be released asap.
