TOPIC: No instant payment notification (IPN) received

Hello,

Since a month, my site does not receive the order notification after a purchase. The 5s loop does not end.
On paypal side, ipn is activated using the root url of my site.

I've checked with a sandbox account sending manually ipn, but no confirmation is received (i've tried a lot of ipn types).

I use 3.2 version, and I've checked with curl or not.

Can you help me ?

Most likely due to the new ssl in paypal. We sent newsletter for this, but may be it landed in the junk even though we used mailchimp.

Please download the latest copy. All upgrades are free one year after placing the order.

After researches, it seems that when the page is refreshed every 5 seconds, it does nothing : no controller function is called, the 'task' param in the request is empty.

If i force it to 'Ipn', an HTTP request error is sent, explaining this is no a POST request.

Does this makes sense ?
Can you help me ?

PS: 3.2 version on 3.3.6 joomla.
PS2 : my order is a just bit older than one year....

The version you have is old and PayPal updated their SSL, which is the cause of the problem.

Downloading the latest version would fix the issue.

I dont know what other users think but I find your commercial decisions not totally fair.

The extension I bought does not work anymore because Paypal has changed its SSL implementation, ok.
And I have now to pay 80 euros again now to solve this.

I would pay it of course if i wanted to have the new features of the latest version, for example.
But in this specific case, my 3.2 version is enough for me.

is it not a restriction of your extension ? Should it not be able to have parameters to adapt to paypals modifcations ?
If not, then, should you not apply your proposition : 'Problem resolution in up to 12 hours or a full refund.' ? Or send by mail a version , even old, that works now (ie. with paypal's new choices) ?

We are all working for money, what if PayPal does the same next year? And next year? And everyime hundreds of customers with expired orders demand support and understanding. If there is a problem, I really make sure it's fixed instantly, but 12 hours or a full refund rule does not apply to customers that placed orders 15-16 months ago. So QuickSell s making money from sales on your site, but I should not be making money for the continuing support and new features? Everyime PayPal change their API/SSL everyone that purchased more then a year ago can freely take of my time without paying a dime for my efforts to be up to date with the latest api?
