TOPIC: Page refreshing after payment.

I had this problem with an earlier version and thought by upgrading to the latest it would solve the issue.

When a user makes a payment the payment goes through and I get the money in my paypal account but the end user doesn't return to the site correctly and gets stuck on the page that has the hash key and it constantly refreshes over and over, I have witnessed this many times in google analytics.

I then have to manually assign the order to the end user.

Is there a setting I am missing?

Hi Paul,

That is always related to the paypal confirmation not arriving / ipn failing. As long as the payment is received as completed there are a few things that might cause this issue:
1. PayPal not reporting the email from paypal config, but another email associated with the paypal account.
2. Curl is failing to verify the transation (you can turn off transaction verification to test).

I can even place some test orders, the payment system is really stable but if the verification fails or paypal reports the wrong email (somehow that happens a lot), the system will drop the IPN as it things it's fraud.
