TOPIC: PDF Password for Opening and Printing

I am struggling with getting the PDF password option to work. When I set the PDF Protection-> Encrypt PDF to yes, I am able to require a password (downloaders email address) to open the file. However, when I try to print the file I am also getting a password required message. When I enter the same password that was used to open the file it will not unlock the file for printing. What I am wondering is whether the same password can be used for both. I know when I create a PDF file on my Mac under the Security Option it will not allow the same password be used for the Require Password to Open Document and Require Password for Print Document options. Additionally, if the PDF Protection -> Encrypt PDF is set to yes and I then set PDF Protection-> Allow PDF Printing to yes, downloads will open without requiring a password.

Is it possible that the reader you are using is caching the password or you are sure if both options are enabled it does not work?

Can you email me the pdf file you are testing with so I can test on the dev page?

It has been over 4 weeks since I asked about this issue and so far there has not been a solution. Can I assume you are not going to offer a fix for this?

It's on top of my list now and when I'm available I will work on it.

So far no one else reported such problem but I will look into it.

I'm finishing another project and it will be my first task after I'm done.
