TOPIC: FTP Uploads and Remote File Storage?

Hello, your component looks like a possibility for a site I'm working on. I will be uploading video files to sell, fairly large files up to 25MB or so each.

I'd prefer to upload them by ftp software rather than through joomla.

I'm also considering storing the files on a Rackspace Cloud or Dropbox account.

Are either of those two things possible with QuickSell?

Yes, it's possible to upload large files by ftp.

External hosting is not possible. I am absolutely sure there is no way to keep the files secure once stored on external hosting, if you're not using some sort of api and unique links for each order (quicksell does that, and all links are unique so they can't be shared or exploited in any way)

I'm pretty sure you won't have issues with bandwidth. The files are not that big.

I have a client running a store with 5gb files and he's doing just fine, more than a dozen orders per day and he have no traffic related issues.

If you got traffic issues, you should be having sales amount where money wouldn't be a problem
